Why should you choose an air source heat pump , simply put an air source heat pump will save you money, save on carbon emissions and help save our beautiful planet.
The heat pump runs by using electricity, the unit does not produce any carbon monoxide emissions and is very good for the environment as it is producing renewable energy.
Here in the UK, the Government have committed to reducing CO2 emissions by 80% by 2050. So far the UK have made a massive reduction of over 34% in green house gas emissions, which is proof that the pollution free Heat Pump is great for energy management and a good choice for you and the planet .
Air Source Heat Pumps use electricity and the air that we breathe, air which is completely free to everyone and is always available, meaning pollution free heating is almost upon us and probably the most advanced energy management system in the world today. We put the air source heat pump outside where it takes in air, processes it through a heat exchanger and distributes it in to the home to heat radiators and hot water.
The air source heat pump works on the same process as a fridge but in reverse, instead of chilling the temperature, it produces a constant energy that can be used all day for heating and hot water.
Air source heat pumps are recognised as a renewable technology energy management system by both the UK and the EU Governments and it is widely accepted that they provide an effective and energy efficient alternative to traditional heating systems. Pollution free heating produces no nasty emissions, no poisonous gases, no carbon dioxide in to the atmosphere and it uses NO GAS or OIL to heat your home, green renewable energy at its best.
An air source heat pump system can lower your carbon footprint as it uses a renewable, natural source of heat, the air. The amount of CO2 you save depends on the fuel you are replacing, oil will save more than gas and convector heating. NB: An air source heat pump does use electricity
Well we have great news for you regarding your existing heating system. The pollution free heat pump technology is compatible with a variety of heating systems, including radiators, under floor heating and warm air convectors.
Unlike traditional gas and oil boilers, air source heat pumps deliver heat at a lower temperature over longer periods to keep your rooms at their ideal setting throughout the day. Pollution free heating offers one of the most advanced energy management systems available anywhere in the world today.
The good news keeps on coming, NO you do not need to keep your old boiler, whether you are replacing an oil fired system, a gas system or an electric convector system the air source heat pump will replace that, which means no more excessive bills when the boiler breaks down, no oil deliveries, no replacement boiler and most importantly NO CARBON MONOXIDE POISONOUS GASES OR EMISSIONS from the unit.
I suppose it depends on your reason for purchasing an air source heat pump, but these are some of the biggest benefits to customers.
1. Lower running costs
2. No gas or oil supplies and no boiler
3. Massive reduction in carbon emissions
4. No flues, or ventilation needed
5. No poisonous carbon monoxide risk
6. Qualifies for the Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme
The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (Domestic RHI) is a government financial incentive to promote the use of renewable heat. Switching to a new renewable heating system like a pollution free heat pump, will provide you with sustainable heating and for that the Government will pay you, the consumer a renewable heat incentive (RHI).
Since opening in April 2014, the scheme has already seen thousands of people successfully join and receive payments. People who join the scheme and stick to its rules receive quarterly payments for seven years for the amount of clean, green renewable heat it’s estimated their system produces.
The scheme is open to anyone who can meet the joining requirements. It’s for households both off and on the gas grid. The Renewable Heat Incentive has two schemes - Domestic and Non-Domestic. They have separate tariffs and joining conditions, rules and application processes. You can only apply to join one scheme and they are administered by Ofgem.
How much you could earn depends on your personal circumstances, such as the size of your home, how much heating you need and the renewable heat technology you choose to install. As well as receiving payments from the RHI scheme, you will also make a saving on your heating bills. This will vary depending on which fuel you are replacing, the biggest savings are seen when changing from oil fired central heating, gas central heating and electric convector heating systems.
The maximum amount you can expect to receive from the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme is £9,500 and this is spread over the seven year period the scheme runs for. The RHI payment takes into account many other factors and your home needs to meet certain insulation standards in order for you to get the highest payment.
The property must meet a specific rating for energy efficiency and a current EPC will be required, this can be provided.
